Serosep Ltd. (Limerick Ireland) is exhibiting its unique system that is revolutionizing molecular testing of gastrointestinal (GI) pathogens at the MEDICA 2022 International Trade Fair being held on November 14-17 in Düsseldorf, Germany. MEDICA is the world's largest medical trade fair for medical technology, electromedical equipment, laboratory equipment, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals.

At MEDICA 2022, Serosep is exhibiting its EntericBio system which is the market leader in GI realtime PCR testing in the UK/Ireland and provides medium/high throughput labs with a rapid, reliable and easy to use solution for their enteric pathogen testing needs. The EntericBio system is unique as it is capable of detecting target DNA and RNA directly from stool specimens, circumventing the requirement for commercial nucleic acid extraction purification and minimizes hands on time for the laboratory personnel. The EntericBio system provides a complete and flexible modular menu for testing, detecting and identifying GI pathogens including bacteria, parasites, CPE and viruses within the same work-flow and platform with a result for up to 46 specimens per run in les than three hours and results for consecutive runs each hour.

Serosep is also highlighting its comprehensive range of pre-filled Histopot specimen containers for use in histology and pathology laboratories. These biopsy sample containers are manufactured to the highest standard, using quality state of the art production techniques, in a certified manufacturing facility. The HistoPot ensures the safety during patients’ biopsy sample fixation, which is the single most important stage in the histopathology process. The HistoPot is regarded as one of the benchmarks for the fixation and transportation of millions of critical histological samples worldwide.
