A range of real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) kits is offered for human pathogen detection, food testing, veterinary and agricultural testing, biothreat detection, and more.

The kits are available from Genesig (The Mill Yard; Southampton, UK), which deals with the product range of Primerdesign Ltd. The performance of the reagents and data is good. Customers might even see an improvement in data quality versus many traditional frozen master mixes.

The Oasig freeze drying process stabilizes all of the active components of the kits, allowing these reagents to be shipped and stored at room temperature. They are stable for more than 18 months at ambient temperatures, simplifying the logistics of purchasing, shipping, and using the technology. The complete qPCR kit and reagent packages are supplied quickly and cheaply via standard shipping methods without the need for dry ice or a cold chain of any sort.

The Genesig catalog offers more than 300 qPCR kits for pathogen detection, veterinary testing, meat speciation, and more. If the target of interest is not present it is possible to request a special new kit suitable for the requirements.
