Sysmex Europe (Norderstedt, Germany) presented new products and innovative concepts in infection diagnostics at the 24th IFCC-EFLM European Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, which took place in Munich, Germany, from 10 to 14 April 2022. In addition to presenting its latest products at the exhibition on a spacious booth, Sysmex Europe underpinned its role as a leading solution and knowledge provider by hosting three educational workshops, plus a variety of further live sessions in a dedicated presentation area.

Sysmex Europe continued supporting the event as a gold sponsor. With a two-storey booth of 128 m2 exhibition space on the ground floor and a further 40 m2 consulting area on the upper floor, Sysmex Europe showcased its competence in the fields of clinical value, workflow automation and digital services, including solutions for new business areas. In line with the brand’s key message of ‘Lighting the way with diagnostics’, Sysmex Europe has the laboratory as well as the clinician and patient in mind and looks at the bigger picture beyond the individual analyser. To strengthen its position further, the company aims at expanding its perception in new business areas while maintaining or increasing the level of trust and loyalty of their existing customers.

Visitors saw a range of new products and innovative concepts on the booth. Besides principal exhibits for the core lab areas such as hematology, haemostasis and urinalysis, and life science solutions for fecal testing, novel highlights were the XQ-320 hematology analyzer, the BloodScience Workcell, the latest clinical flow cytometry solution featuring the XF-1600, and the digital services Caresphere XQC and Sysmex Academy app. Sysmex Europe’s philosophy extends beyond the product itself, and knowing that support and continuous education is of equal importance for a rewarding user experience, the company hosted three 60-minute educational workshops within the congresses’ program, focusing on the clinical value of infection diagnostics from POC to hematology, lean workflow using Sysmex automation concept solutions, and smartening today’s laboratories by means of digital technology and services. To reach a wider audience, these on-site workshops were streamed live via Vimeo on the company’s LinkedIn channel.

Last but not least, an additional range of live lectures and ‘Meet the expert’ sessions including external speakers – in person or virtually – took place in loose succession on the company’s booth in the ‘live presentation area’ using a large, curved screen of approx. 7 x 2.5 m size. All sessions were recorded and are made available on the Sysmex Europe website, while some of these are being additionally shown via the livestream channel.
