Mindray Demonstrates Latest IVD Innovations at EUROMEDLAB 2022

By Carolyn Moody, RN - News Editor
Posted on 11 Apr 2022

Mindray (Shenzhen, China) displayed its latest laboratory innovations at the 24th IFCC-EFLM European Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, EUROMEDLAB 2022, in Munich, Germany. EUROMEDLAB is the most influential platform in Europe where new ideas and technologies in laboratory diagnostics are shared and showcased. Mindray’s wide range of IVD products attracted customers from Europe and other parts of the world.

At EUROMEDLAB 2022, Mindray displayed the new MC-80 automated digital cell morphology analyzer that is taking digital morphology analysis to the next level by delivering clearer images which are able to capture abnormalities in more detail. With advanced algorithms, the analyzer enables better identification of different cells with high throughput, resulting in greater productivity. Its high-performance objective and advanced image sensor offer ultra resolution images to reappear the real view under the microscope. The MC-80 has an industry-leading throughput of 60 slides per hour and features a solid rock hyper-stable anti-shake system. Aerospace materials and cutting-edge high-frequency exposure algorithm are integrated to eliminate blurred images.

Mindray also demonstrated the new CAL 8000 New Generation Cellular Analysis Line which marks the company’s expertise and innovative power in hematology area for large-scale laboratories. It has higher throughput per square meter, upgraded labXpert Data Management Software, flexible layout design options, and other advanced functionalities. Combining Mindray’s new MC-80 digital cell morphology analyzer, the CAL 8000 is taking hematology analysis automation to the next level. The touch screen is the “brain” of CAL 8000. It optimizes the distribution of workload between each analyzer unit and decides which sample requires a blood smear. It displays the status of each analyzer or SC-120 installed on CAL 8000 as well as the volume of balance reagent. This intuitive software can tell the users all necessary information of CAL 8000 at any given time. Consequently, users spend less time operating CAL 8000 and can arrange their working schedule better. Additionally, Mindray exhibited its M6000 laboratory automation system which can empower ultra high volume laboratories with high processing speed, less hands-on time, great cost efficiency and standardized analytical quality.
