A new clinical chemistry analyzer is designed to provide outstanding performance and maximum efficiency, without compromising affordability, to meet the growing demands of modern laboratories. More...

Diatron, a member of Stratec (Birkenfeld, Germany), has launched its flagship clinical chemistry analyzer, the P780, which excels in maximum throughput, enabled by uninterrupted photometric tests and an independent ISE arm. As a result, the P780 allows continuous operation under demanding workloads, ensuring fast turnaround times without compromising accuracy. The system is equipped with a dual concentric reagent tray with cooled positions for calibrators and controls, plus an optional Auto Filling Draining Module that enables nonstop operation and reduces manual work. A built-in panel PC with a touchscreen interface helps to minimize the instrument’s footprint and streamline daily use. The system features advanced software, delivering an intuitive, easy-to-use interface and a comprehensive dashboard, with real-time worklist monitoring and flexible workflow management tools to simplify daily lab procedures.

Full integration across the Pictus range—workflows, methods, reagents, consumables, calibrators, and controls—simplifies logistics and ensures consistent results across systems. Building on the trusted performance of the Pictus 500, which has set a benchmark for reliability in clinical chemistry, the P780 combines high throughput with low operating costs, delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions for modern clinical laboratories. By combining long-life cuvettes with marginal water and consumables usage, the P780 offers exceptionally low operating costs—ideal for laboratories performing a wide range of clinical chemistry tests. Ideal for a variety of lab sizes, from medium to large, the P780 is engineered for high reliability, offering an innovative and scalable solution.
