New Benchmark Created for Purity of Laboratory Consumables

By LabMedica International staff writers
Posted on 18 Sep 2009
A new benchmark has been launched for consumables purity. More...
The standard is tailored towards molecular diagnostics, forensics, and genomics research applications, and is initially available for blister packaged disposable tips.

Liquid handling (LiHa) disposable tips are manufactured using fully automated, state-of-the-art production principles and quality assurance processes guarantee that they are free from human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors. Every batch of tips is tested and certified by an external laboratory and is supplied with a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to provide full product traceability.

The updated range of LiHa disposable Tecan Pure tips by Tecan (Männedorf, Switzerland) is available in either Tecan Pure blister packs or Tecan Standard cardboard packaging, and is now supplied in color-coded racks to offer easy identification of tip volume, minimizing the risk of user errors for improved process security.

All Tecan Pure products are free from human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors. Every batch of tips is tested and certified by an external laboratory, and each pack of tips is supplied with a Tecan.

Tecan provides laboratory instruments and solutions in clinical diagnostics, biopharmaceutics, and forensics. The company specializes in the development, production, and distribution of automation solutions for laboratories in the life sciences sector.
