A newly reengineered line of highly customizable inverted microscope systems will become available for biotech and life science researchers beginning in the fall of 2012.

The well-known microscope manufacturer Olympus (Hamburg, Germany) plans to unveil the new IX3 line of inverted research microscopes at the European Microscopy Congress (EMC) 2012, which is to be held in Manchester, United Kingdom from September 16-21. More...
This event was selected as being especially appropriate, since EMC - which is held once every four years - is Europe's largest exhibition dedicated to microscopy.

Olympus states that the new IX3 systems will offer enhanced precision, stability, and optical performance to meet the most challenging quantitative measurement applications, along with user friendliness, speed, accuracy, and rugged reliability. The company will be hosting several breakout workshops at EMC 2012, where Olympus’ experts will discuss the range of applications offered by the new systems.

IX3 systems will be available for purchase in Europe starting from September 2012.
