Dedicated Line of Filtration Microplates Available for Small Volume Separations

By LabMedica International staff writers
Posted on 23 Jul 2012
A dedicated line of microplates covers the many biotech procedures that require filtration or separation of small volumes of liquid.

Porvair Sciences (Leatherhead, United Kingdom) has developed a broad range of proprietary multiwell filtration microplates that enables biotech and other life science researchers to easily perform any required filtration or separation step. More...
The filtration microplates have been optimized for applications including cell harvesting, DNA separations, binding studies, plasmid isolation, general filtration, and sample clean-up.

All filtration microplates are manufactured from ultrapure grade polypropylene that minimizes leaching of molecules from the plastic into the sample. For volumes up to 350 microliters filtration plates are available that can simultaneously filter 96 or 384 samples. For larger volume applications (up to 5 ml per well) researchers can choose 48-well filtration plates.

Each well on the Porvair filtration plates has an individual drainage spout ensuring 100% sample transfer with negligible crossover contamination.
