High Performance Evaporator Systems Enable Safe Solvent Removal

By Labmedica staff writers
Posted on 17 Jan 2008
A comprehensive range of evaporators has been developed to suit almost any solvent removal application, purchasing budget, or productivity requirement.

New sample pooling technology, called SampleGenie, enables centrifugal evaporators to accelerate the pooling of multiple large volume fractions into a single small sample vial. More...
SampleGenie is available in three sizes, 50 ml, 125 ml, and 300 ml. For high-throughput applications including environmental analysis, compound storage, and drug development, methods that can reduce analytic work are desirable. Before SampleGenie was available, no commercial technology existed for pooling and concentrating large volume fractions. Now it is possible to save time by pooling fractions that contain a common analyte, to yield a single sample.

Genevac (Ipswich, UK) previewed its new SampleGenie large volume sample pooling technology at LabAutomation 2008 (Palm Springs, CA, USA) on January 25-30, 2008. Genevac's EZ-2 personal evaporator and the high capacity, high-throughput HT-12X systems were also on display. Genevac evaporator systems have many unique advanced technology features that ensure that samples are dried rapidly while preserving sample integrity and purity.
