New Web-Based Platform Helps Autoimmune Laboratories Manage Testing Complexity

By LabMedica International staff writers
Posted on 06 Oct 2026

Autoimmune disease testing often requires laboratories to coordinate results across multiple instruments, manual microscopy, and patient histories. More...

As testing volumes and workflow complexity increase, laboratories need centralized data management that supports efficient review, traceability, and consistent interpretation. In response to these challenges, a newly launched web-based platform now brings autoimmune testing workflows into a single browser-based environment for easier access and management.

Werfen has launched QUANTA Link 5.0, the latest version of its data management platform for autoimmune laboratories. The platform is designed to simplify daily operations, improve workflow visibility, and help laboratories manage growing testing complexity from a centralized environment. QUANTA Link 5.0 is now available to Werfen customers worldwide.

QUANTA Link 5.0 uses a HyperText Markup Language (HTML)-based interface that allows access through a standard web browser without requiring local installation. The system centralizes autoimmune testing workflows by integrating results from Aptiva, BIO-FLASH, QUANTA-Lyser 3000, NOVA View, and manual microscopy within a single interface. For existing users, it also preserves validated workflows, reliable instrument integration, and seamless connectivity with laboratory information systems.

The platform adds enhanced order management and consolidated views that bring together patient history, previous results, and contextual insights to support faster review. Improved result visualization and analytics help laboratories track workflow status, monitor trends, and promote consistent interpretation. Expanded traceability, audit, and security controls are designed to strengthen compliance and transparency, while greater automation and standardized workflows help reduce manual steps in high-volume testing environments.

“QUANTA Link 5.0 reflects our commitment to delivering solutions that are both powerful and easy to use in real-world autoimmune laboratory settings. By combining a modern, flexible user experience with meaningful workflow improvements, we are helping laboratories operate more efficiently while continuing to support clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care,” said Vijay Namasivayam, PhD, Chief Operating Officer, Autoimmunity.
