Impac Acquires Intellidata

In a move that will extend its oncology management system, Impac Medical Systems, Inc. More...
(Mountain View, CA, USA) has acquired Intellidata, Inc. (Woodbridge, VA, USA), a leading US clinical laboratory information system (LIS) supplier. Terms were not disclosed.

Intellidata markets the IntelliLab laboratory information system. Features include comprehensive barcode labeling, expert medical necessity checking, and Phone Home Diagnostics. Impac is a provider of integrated clinical and administrative management systems for cancer specialists. The acquisition will enable seamless reporting of laboratory results in Impac's electronic medical record, and an LIS solution that addresses both the clinical and business needs of cancer specialists. Intellidata will give Impac customers an integrated LIS solution and immediate access to critical lab values at the point of care.

"Impac chose Intellidata as its LIS solution because the system provides sophisticated clinical analysis, connects to virtually any lab device, and supports the business requirements of the cancer center,” said Joe Jachinowski, president and CEO of Impac.
