However, hospitals and laboratories worldwide face challenges in maintaining high-quality standards while managing increasing demand for blood collection and processing. Now, a new business acquisition aims to expand global accessibility to mission-critical blood processing equipment and consumables.

GSI Group Holdings (Irvine, CA, USA) has acquired GenesisBPS (Ramsey, NJ, USA), a designer and manufacturer of specialized benchtop blood processing equipment and laboratory consumables. GenesisBPS has become the newest addition to GSI Group's growing family of benchtop equipment and single-use product brands serving the life sciences, research & development, industrial, and academia & education markets.

GSI Group provides a wide range of essential laboratory single-use products, precision benchtop instruments, and related accessories. The platform has built a global reach, with locations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and the business collectively serves customers in more than 100 countries. Today, thousands of leading research institutions, diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, universities, and industrial organizations depend on GSI Group products to support their daily operations. GenesisBPS joins existing GSI Group brands, including Globe Scientific, AmScope, Euromex, and Physix.

Founded in 1990, GenesisBPS has become a premier provider of mission-critical blood processing and collection instruments, consumables, and accessories. Its products are widely used in blood banks, hospitals, clinical laboratories, and cellular therapy applications where they play an essential role in ensuring the safe collection, processing, and storage of blood and other biological fluids. The addition of GenesisBPS further strengthens GSI Group's position as a leading provider of laboratory benchtop equipment and single-use products. The GSI Group platform will continue strategic acquisitions of leading brands of benchtop equipment and consumables across North America and Europe.

"We are excited to have GenesisBPS join GSI as part of the expanding global platform," said Philip Herman, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at GenesisBPS. "Our focus has always been on delivering innovative and high-quality solutions to customers across the blood processing and life sciences sectors. Partnering with GSI provides us with the resources, scale, and global footprint to expand our impact and support more institutions and patients worldwide."

"GenesisBPS is an outstanding strategic fit for GSI," added Jon Brubaker, CEO of GSI Group. "It's specialized equipment and consumables enhance our capabilities in critical blood processing workflows, further expanding the value we deliver to customers in the life sciences, diagnostics, and academic research fields. We remain committed to accelerating GSI's growth through both organic initiatives and additional acquisitions of leading brands."
