OraSure Technologies, Inc. More...
(Bethlehem, PA, USA), a company specializing in oral fluid diagnostics, participated in a special industry panel discussion in observance of World AIDS Day on December 1, 2006. In addition, as part of this commemorative day, OraSure announced the company will actively support a series of campaigns in the United States and in a number of other countries to encourage individuals to learn their human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) status through rapid oral fluid HIV testing.

On both a global and a local level, OraSure supports testing campaigns that will urge people to learn their HIV status. In addition to working with several major cities in the United States, OraSure works with international agencies in a number of countries by providing educational literature and promotional materials along with donated OraQuick AdvanceRapid HIV-1/2 antibody test kits to actively encourage individuals to get tested.

OraSure Technologies supplies oral-fluid collection devices and assays to the life insurance industry and public health markets for the detection of HIV. In addition, the company supplies oral-fluid testing solutions for drugs-of-abuse testing.

OraSure Technologies develops, manufactures and markets oral fluid specimen collection devices using proprietary oral fluid technologies, diagnostic products that include immunoassays and other in vitro diagnostic tests, and other medical devices.
