New Collaboration Integrates Low-Code Automation into Laboratory Platform

Traditional LIMS and LIS configurations often depend on scarce development resources, creating delays and limiting agility. The collaboration is positioned as a scalable alternative to conventional configuration models, aiming to accelerate time-to-value while preserving operational control and regulatory assurance. The combined approach is intended to let laboratories adapt LIMS/LIS configurations more efficiently without compromising governance.

At the core of the integration is a low-code/no-code engine that enables laboratories to design, adapt, and manage workflows using visual tools and reusable components. Decisions adds a unified environment for workflow automation, rules management, and integration so organizations can orchestrate complex processes without writing code. By embedding these capabilities directly into the platform, teams can modify and optimize workflows within a structured, controlled framework rather than relying on proprietary languages or vendor-restricted development tools.

The companies indicate the model supports implementation and system changes, reduces dependency on custom development and specialized expertise, and supports regulatory compliance and traceability. It is designed to scale workflows as testing requirements evolve across healthcare, life sciences, public health, environmental testing, food and beverage, toxicology, and manufacturing. The partnership promotes laboratory-controlled configuration so systems can evolve with operational needs while remaining structured, auditable, and traceable.
