Streck Launches Rapid, Modular qPCR Instrument with Market-Leading Speed

By LabMedica International staff writers
Posted on 11 Nov 2020
Streck (La Vista, NE, USA) has launched the Zulu RT, a rapid, modular qPCR instrument capable of performing four independent experiments simultaneously. More...
It can perform a 40-cycle, 6-channel 3-step real-time PCR in less than 20 minutes, making it the fastest qPCR instrument in the world.

The Zulu RT uses unique, proprietary Streck thermal technology combined with powerful optics for market-leading speed. The Zulu RT does not sacrifice test volume for speed; it provides less than 20-minute qPCR for volumes from 10 up to 50 µL. Ramp speeds of 15°C/second heating, 12°C/second cooling and precise thermal control allows the Zulu RT to perform rapid, 6-color detection faster than any other instrument in the world for large volumes.

The modularity of the system allows greater flexibility in testing, allowing multiple users at one time; in essence, acting as four individual thermal cyclers in one. The Zulu RT can speed assay development and ease sample processing backlogs and scheduling for busy laboratories. Designed for speed and flexibility, the Zulu RT is ideally suited for esoteric testing, rapid needs testing and research use.
