Tokyo to Host Bio Expo Japan in May

Posted on 12 Mar 2003
The 2nd International Bio Expo Japan, Asia's largest industry event for biotechnology professionals, will be held May 14 to May 16 in Tokyo. More...
This international event is expected to attract 15,000 visitors and 400 companies and will include more than 10 government-based pavilions, including those of France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The conference will feature four special exhibit zones: BioInformatics, Bio-Imaging, Bio Contract Research Services, and Biochip.

The program will cover cutting-edge technologies and new market trends that will be of interest to all industry professionals. A highlight will be the opening of the much-awaited Bio Partnering Forum Japan. This will provide attendees from bio-venture companies, venture capital firms, university/biotech research institutes, and other biotech-related enterprises with opportunities to meet, and will promote partnerships, technology transfer, and investment. Concurrently with the exhibition, the Japan Technical Conference will be held, consisting of 11 sessions led by prominent representatives from Asia's biotechnology industry.

Because this is Asia's first comprehensive partnering event, applications and inquiries have been pouring in from all over the world to Asia's venture capitalists and pharmaceutical companies, say the exhibition's managers. Details are available on Bio Expo Japan's website (www.reedexpo.co.jp/bio).
