B. Braun Biotech Becomes Sartorius BBI Systems

The Sartorius Group has announced that its subsidiary B. More...
Braun Biotech International GmbH, a major manufacturer of fermenters and bioreactors, has been renamed Sartorius BBI Systems GmbH, effective March 1, 2004. Sartorius has also revealed that its U.S. subsidiary B. Braun Biotech Inc. and the Italian company BBI Systems s.r.l. will henceforth be called Sartorius BBI Systems Inc. and Sartorius BBI Systems s.r.l., respectively. The companies will adopt all essential components of the Sartorius Group's corporate design.

These changes are part of the Sartorius Group's new strategy to reduce complexity and strengthen the core brand name, and to signify the successful integration of B. Braun Biotech into the group.
