ABgene Fast Block PCR Plate Improves Sample Tracking

By LabMedica International staff writers
Posted on 18 Jun 2009
An ABgene fast block polymerase chain reaction (PCR) plate is now available with barcoding to enhance sample tracking in automated and semiautomated fast PCR workflows.

The semiskirted, low-profile ABgene fast PCR plate is compatible with all major fast block PCR and quantitative PCR (qPCR) platforms. More...
The thin-walled design ensures maximum heat transfer during the fast PCR cycle ensuring consistent and reliable results.

The barcode is ideally located for PCR platforms with barcode readers and is resistant to extremes of temperature and chemical exposure. Therefore, they can endure both the heat required in PCR cycling as well as freezing conditions associated with plate storage. The barcodes together with clear, alphanumeric grid referencing ensure that valuable PCR and quantitative PCR (qPCR) samples are protected and easily located.

The ABgene fast block PCR plate is a product of Thermo Scientific (Epsom, UK). For further information about the ABgene fast block PCR plate and other plates available from Thermo Fisher Scientific .

Thermo Scientific is part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, which helps routine analytical testing, complex research, and discovery. Thermo Scientific offers a complete range of analytical instruments as well as laboratory equipment, software, services, consumables, and reagents for integrated laboratory workflow solutions.
