Diagnostic Instruments Offer Precision, Accuracy

The technology, called G-scan, is a turning point in MR imaging from recumbent MRI to weight-bearing MRI. It is an excellent musculoskeletal MRI system for all joints including the spine, foot/ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and hand/wrist. The gantry can be rotated to move the patient into a true weight-bearing position.

The open and tilting design allows the G-scan, developed by Esaote SpA (Genoa, Italy), allows the patient's position to become an essential part in the way in which the MRI scan is performed, as well as in the outcome. Imaging of the spine in its natural, weight-bearing standing position is now possible with this system, a truly one-room MRI unit. The console can easily be installed in a 27-m2 room, making is a suitable system for specialty clinics, and sport and orthopedic centers.
