Posted on 11 Oct 2000
GS Laboratory Equipment (Asheville, NC, USA) has changed its name to Revco Technologies. More...
The company manufactures and markets ultra-low and cryogenic freezers, laboratory refrigerators and freezers, CO2 incubators, laboratory furnaces, ovens, water baths, and associated products for the life science, pharmaceutical, clinical, and industrial markets worldwide. Brand names include Revco, Harris, Puffer-Hubbard, Queue, and Lindberg BlueM. The company, a unit of SPX Corp., was founded as Revco Inc in 1938.

The new name reestablishes our position as the market leader for the past half century and underscores the strong association with our predominant brand, explained Dennis Pope, president. The addition of the word 'Technologies' emphasizes our commitment to bring new technologies to each of our new products, markets, services, and industries.

Recently, Revco acquired Jewett, Inc. (Buffalo, NY, USA) for about US$13 million. Jewett is a leading global supplier of high-quality medical refrigeration and pathology equipment.
