By combining with Thermo Fisher, Lomb Scientific believes that its customers will have access to an even greater range of products at competitive prices and service.

Thermo Fisher CEO and President Marc Casper said that the purchase is part of the company's goal to "expand in growing Asia-Pacific markets."
