Menarini Diagnostics, S.r.l. (Florence, Italy) have agreed to extend their distribution cooperation in Europe for an additional five years. This agreement succeeds a previous five-year contract between the companies.

Menarini Diagnostics will continue to be the exclusive distributor in European countries for Leica Microsystems' automated immunohistochemistry (IHC) stainer, Leica Bond, as well as for its Novocastra antibodies and reagents. Leica Bond is a flexible, fully automated staining system used for IHC-based cancer diagnosis. In combination with Leica's Novocastra antibodies, it allows fast, effective, and consistent staining of biopsy tissue samples to help cancer diagnosis and staging.

Leica Microsystems designs and produces high-tech precision optical systems for analyzing microstructures and possesses a broad product range for histopathology. The company manufactures a range of products for applications requiring microscopic imaging, measurement, and analysis.

A. Menarini Diagnostics is a healthcare company involved in preventing disease and providing diagnostic solutions. Its activities cover urinanalysis, autoimmune diseases, hematology, immunology, IHC, wet and dry chemistry, and diabetes monitoring.

Dr. Crescenzio Izzo, managing director of A. Menarini Diagnostics confirmed, "Our expert, specialized distribution organization covers a large part of the European diagnostics market. Menarini takes its responsibility to the healthcare community seriously and strives to always provide the best solutions to its customers' needs in the field of immunohistochemistry.”
