SARSTEDT (Nümbrecht, Germany), a leader in pre-analytic innovation, is demonstrating its solutions for improving specimen quality, reducing turnaround time, and automating labs of all sizes with customizable modular systems at AACC 2023. The company’s pre-analytical experts are leading short in-booth workflow walkthroughs at the SARSTEDT booth.

SARSTEDT is also hosting an industry workshop where Dr. Mark Kellogg, Associate Director of Chemistry at Boston Children’s Hospital (Boston, MA, USA) will be presenting on maximizing pediatric laboratory efficiency through automation and improved quality small-volume S-Monovette® primary tubes. Dr. Kellogg will be discussing improving sample rejection rates by reducing hemolysis, clotting, and improper labeling, as well as integrating the S-Monovette® into a total laboratory automation process.

Visitors to the SARSTEDT booth can also check out the lighted tubes traveling overhead. On display is the SARSTEDT Tempus600®, a dedicated transportation system for sending specimen tubes quickly and reliably to the laboratory without batching or packing them into carriers. Sample tubes arrive within seconds at a laboratory receiving station for immediate processing. Samples arrive continuously as sent, reducing peaks for a faster and more predictable workflow. SARSTEDT will be demonstrating how the Tempus600® and IVD systems such as the Roche cobas® connection modules work together to shorten the time between tests being ordered and results being ready. Visitors can watch as blood collection tubes leave the SARSTEDT booth and arrive at the Roche booth in seconds.
