The 2021 American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC; Washington, DC, USA) Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo will be a live event that will explore the cutting-edge science and technology shaping the future of laboratory medicine.

Every year, the global laboratory medicine community comes together as one at the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo to collaborate and create system-wide changes that improve patient outcomes and quality of life for all. AACC's annual meeting is the world's largest lab medicine conference with nearly 20,000 participants from more than 100 countries. Each year AACC hosts the conference in a new city that provides an exciting backdrop for the premier meeting in the field of laboratory medicine. AACC has moved the location of its 2021 annual meeting from Anaheim, California to Atlanta, Georgia and also changed the meeting dates to one week later: September 26-30, 2021.

The AACC Annual Scientific Meeting includes hundreds of educational sessions on a wide variety of timely laboratory medicine topics. AACC's annual meeting offers five days packed with opportunities to learn about exciting science. Plenary sessions will feature expert presentations on using tumor DNA in the blood to diagnose and monitor cancer, reducing the risk of heart disease, transparency in healthcare delivery, the latest advances that could lead to a cure for HIV, and new tests and treatment for infection.

Attendees will not only benefit from a stunning lineup of expert speakers and scientific sessions, but can also see a vast array of emerging technologies and products at the world's largest exhibition for in vitro diagnostics. The Clinical Lab Expo is the exhibit tradeshow of the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting and will host exhibitors in all areas of clinical laboratory science. At this year’s AACC Clinical Lab Expo, more than 700 exhibitors will display the latest diagnostic technology, including but not limited to mobile health, molecular diagnostics, mass spectrometry, point-of-care, and automation.

The AACC Annual Scientific Meeting will hold Lecture Series Presentations where attendees will learn about the latest technologies and services in convenient, 20-minute presentations covering topics such as “The Challenge and Promise of Launching COVID-19 Testing in Small and Non-Traditional Labs.” Additionally, Industry Workshop presentations will be held on new diagnostic breakthroughs and critical lab medicine topics such as “Mitigating Pre-analytical Errors in Point-of-Care Blood Gas Testing With a Total Quality Assurance Program” and “COVID-19 Testing at the Point of Care: New Platform for High Sensitivity Antigen and Antibody Testing,” among others.
