MedTest Dx, Inc. (Canton, MI, USA) introduced an improved line of Clinitox Calibrators and Controls for confirmation testing at the 2019 American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Annual Scientific Meeting. The company’s new product line provides laboratories performing confirmation testing a comprehensive, reliable, easy-to-use and customizable calibration and controls solution designed for accuracy and efficiency, with extended shelf life and simplified documentation. At AACC 2019, MedTest also launched a new Certified Performance Guarantee Program for its Pointe Scientific branded line of clinical chemistry diagnostic reagents.

MedTest, which offers integrated products and services for clinical diagnostic testing, has a combination of screening instruments, reagent manufacturing, service capabilities and full LC/MS toxicology confirmation products. The MedTest Dx Clinitox Solution is a comprehensive key system enabling labs to bring drugs of abuse confirmation testing in-house by increasing the ease and efficiency of confirmation testing, while reducing the cost. It provides streamlined sample preparation; rapid implementation; Certificates of Analysis; documentation for traceability, including routine or specialty compound cut-offs; multiple panel options; and custom LC/MS calibrators, controls and internal standards.

Clinitox Calibrators and Controls are ready-to-use, liquid formats that simplify calibration and quality control procedures. They can be fully customized to meet the unique needs of individual laboratories, taking into consideration specific testing requirements, LC/MS instrumentation and sample matricies. Custom profiles are easily edited or updated as needs change. Clinitox Calibrators and Controls come as ready-to-use single use ampoules with batch and lot certifications, ensuring they deliver the quality laboratories require.

Additionally, MedTest’s Certified Performance Guarantee Program for its Pointe Scientific branded line of clinical chemistry diagnostic reagents that was introduced at AACC 2019 is intended to provide an additional layer of assurance to customers that the company stands fully behind the quality and reliability of every Pointe Scientific branded clinical chemistry reagent it ships. MedTest will issue a free replacement to any customer who is not fully satisfied with the performance of their Pointe Scientific branded reagent.

“We are very proud of Pointe Scientific’s well-established reputation as a quality leader in diagnostic reagents, and that its products are manufactured here in the US,” said Wayne Brinster, Chief Executive Officer of MedTest Dx. “Pointe Scientific offers an extensive line of cost-effective clinical chemistry reagents, some of which it was the first to introduce to the market. The company’s long record of successful innovation and consistent high quality made the decision to implement the Certified Performance Guarantee Program an easy one. We view the Guarantee program as indicative of our ongoing commitment to serving as our customers’ partner of choice for clinical diagnostic testing technologies.”
