The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC; Washington DC, USA), the global scientific and medical professional organization dedicated to better health through laboratory medicine, unveiled an updated brand identity today, which reflects the organization’s commitment to help laboratory professionals adapt to the changing healthcare environment and continue to do what they do best: provide vital insight to physicians, so patients get the care they need. AACC's updated look reflects the organization’s focus on better health through laboratory medicine.

The official launch of AACC's updated identity with the opening of the 2014 AACC Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, and the redesign and update of AACC’s magazine, Clinical Laboratory News will continue to be rolled out throughout the year.

Janet B. Kreizman, AACC CEO said, “The laboratory professionals that make up AACC’s membership play an essential role in saving lives and making people healthier. With this updated brand identity, we created a visual shorthand to show that AACC promotes new thinking and new skills to help laboratory professionals address the complexity of an evolving healthcare landscape while working to advance patient health.”

Steven H. Wong, PhD, DABCC, FACB added, “AACC works to inspire scientific breakthroughs and provide essential, clinically-relevant content, so laboratory professionals can discover new adaptive solutions that advance patient care and bring better health to all people. We have a new look, but our vision remains the same: better health through laboratory medicine.”
